Articles focused on VA and Veterans are strongly preferred, but others will be considered if clearly relevant to VA and Veterans. Articles should:
- Focus on advancing Age-Friendly care for Veterans through research, implementation, education, or clinical innovation
- Treat the 4Ms (Mobility, Mentation, Medications, and What Matters) as a set — if an article focuses on a single M, it should show relevance to all 4Ms
- Consider a focus on implementation, measurement, and effectiveness of AFHS within VA
Manuscripts may be submitted until December 15, 2026 via the Medical Care online portal. Authors are invited to submit Abstracts by September 15th ; while abstracts are not required, they are strongly encouraged, to allow for assessment of alignment prior to full submission. Abstracts can be submitted via email to Katharine Babcock ([email protected]). Invitation to submit a full manuscript does not guarantee acceptance, which is dependent on peer and editorial review. Eligible manuscript types include original research articles, reviews, and commentaries.
