Showcase your implantation work, highlight key learnings, and contribute to advancing AFHS evidence at the second annual Advancing Age-Friendly Health Systems Implementation, Research, and Policy Symposium, part of the IHI Forum pre-conference on Monday, December 7, 2026.
Poster submissions are now open! Deadline for submission: September 15, 2026. Authors will be notified of acceptance by September 30, 2026 and will have the opportunity to submit a final version of the poster at the time of acceptance.
Individuals with accepted posters will be able to attend the Symposium on December 7th for free. Those that wish to attend the main IHI Forum December 8-9 can learn more and register on the IHI website. The cost for main Forum registration is the responsibility of the attendee.
Requirements and Expectations
- Posters will be displayed throughout the Symposium on December 7th. Poster presenters will have the chance to participate in a poster walk during the symposium (12:45 -1:30 p.m.).
- Those with accepted posters are expected to have an in-person representative at the symposium to hang the poster and be available during the poster walk.
- Poster may have been previously submitted to another meeting or venue.
- We encourage you to also consider submitting your poster to the main IHI Forum! The Forum has a separate poster submission process with a deadline of September 30, 2026. As an added opportunity, the top 20 posters submitted to the Forum will be selected for publication in BMJ. If your poster is accepted for both events, you may display the same poster at both—no need to create two versions.
- For additional Forum poster guidelines, please refer to this IHI resource. Please note that Forum poster submissions showcase real-world improvement work, rather than traditional research. Forum posters should include a SMART aim statement and graphical representation of improvement data.
